Life is full of surprises. I think about the people you meet every day and the people you don't. There are moments when you stop and think what would have happened had you acted differently. Said a different sentence, or changed your route home. I've had musings about these types of moments all my life. Always equipped with a plan for each thought so I know what to say in advance when those moments do happen.
It's easy to get in your head and stay there. When life starts to become what you don't want, escaping in dreams can be your only safe space. In dreams, bad things don't happen. In dreams, you're living and breathing your art. The feeling is beautiful, soft, gentle, warm. I'm a woman with a romantic soul. I dream. But I also know that it can get in my way. I know can't walk this earth with my eyes closed.
As we move further into September, I contemplate the month before it. August saw moments that I never would have predicted in a million years. Because it's in times of mundanity that beautiful strings of experiences and sentences can be felt. It's strange how a little interaction in August has led to hours of profound conversation that I, even as I'm writing now, find myself thinking about. Over and over. Chiming there in the back of my mind. And it starts to feel like that again — beautiful, soft, gentle, warm...
There are moments when you stop and think what would have happened had you acted differently. And then there are moments where you can't understand how lucky you are to have met someone.
And in the words of Audrey Horne, "It's it too dreamy?"
